Maintenance

This full-time position is responsible for repair and minor maintenance of the facilities. Duties include grounds works, snow removal, ice resurfacing and conversions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull up to 300 pounds is required. The ideal candidate will possess good customer service skills, be detail oriented, and be able to follow written and verbal instruction. Work schedule will consist of 40 hours per week, which will include some weekends, holidays, and evenings.

Part-time

Buffet Cook

This position will assist with day-to-day activities in a kitchen environment. Work week will consist of an average of 30 hours per week during days, evenings, and weekends depending on event schedule. We're looking for a team player with a first class approach to customer service. Must have knowledge and experience cooking a variety of foods and operating a variety of kitchen equipment (fryer, char broiler, flat-top, steamer, and dishwasher). Logistics Team Member

Duties include: Receive orders and stock items into stands. Set-up stands, portables, and beer portables for events. Run logistics during men's hockey games, concerts, and other large events. Must be able to be on your feet for 8-10 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.

Event Staff

The following departments have openings for the upcoming event season.  These part-time jobs are mainly on Friday and Saturday evenings during UND hockey games and other events.

  • Sioux Shop Sales Associate
    -
    General duties include assisting customers, stocking shelves, answering the phone and completing online orders. Good customer service skills are a must. Must be available to work evenings and weekends. Retail experiences preferred, but not necessary.
  • Ticket Seller
    -
    Ticket sellers work out of the box office during various events and during regular business hours. Hours include nights, weekends and some holidays. Duties include cash handling and selling tickets using Ticketmaster programs. Good customer service skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • Ticket Taker
    -As part of the Guest Services team, ticket takers greet patrons upon entrance to the venue, scan event ticket barcodes to verify ticket validity, and validate university student identification cards. Ticket takers may also be asked to perform a brief patron bag search. Ticket takers must possess excellent customer service skills and the physical ability to stand for a period of time.
  • Ushers
    -
    As part of the Guest Services team, ushers help guests locate their seats, provide directions and other venue event information, verify credentials access to stairwells and elevators. Ushers operate elevators and monitor arena audiences while keeping watch for injuries and disorderly conduct. Ushers must possess excellent customer service skills and the physical ability to stand for a period of time.
  • Concessions
    -Cook: prepare and cook all hot food items in concession stands and is responsible for kitchen clean up and dishes. Cooks are also responsible for boiling out fryers and cleaning grills.
    -Concession worker: Takes orders from customers, fills orders and handles the money transactions. Workers also help with prep work, clean up and inventory in the stand.
    -Stand Manager: Manages and overseas a concession stand and assures that the stand serves quality food items, follows sanitation requirements, and gives the customer top quality service.
    -ID Checkers: Checks ID's of customers to insure they are 21 and wrist band everyone 35 and under. ID Checkers must be certified in Responsible Alcohol Server Training.
    -Red Pepper Worker: Responsible for making grinders, tacos, and tostadas from this Grand Forks staple. Must be able to work all hockey games.
  • Kitchen Workers
    -
    Cook all types of food for suite guests.
  • Concierge
    -Takes care of guests in their suites.
  • Catering
    -Prep Cooks: moderate knife skills required. Openings include day and night shifts.
    -Line Fryer Cooks: operate deep fryer. Openings include day and night shifts.
  • Conversion Crew: help convert the arenas from their normal hockey and basketball set up to a special event and back to normal set up. Hours are typically late night and early morning.
  • Custodian
    -
    Custodians working events are responsible to clean bathrooms, pull garbage, dust the concourse and clean up spills on the concourse, in the stands, and on the stairs. Work schedule would include 7 to 8 hour shift on the weekend (up to 2 am) after an event to clean bathrooms, suites, concourse, stairs, and front lobby area.
  • Parking
    -
    Direct guests where to park upon arrival at the arena.
