The Ralph is now hiring for the 2019-2020 event season.  You won’t start working until September, but we are taking applications and doing interviews now. Fill out the application below.

The following departments have openings and all positions are part-time mainly working Friday and Saturday evenings for UND men’s hockey games and other events:

Cashier

Takes orders from customers, fills orders and handles the money transactions. Workers also help with prep work, clean up and inventory in the stand.

Runner

Fills orders and helps with prep work in the stand and inventory and clean up.

Cook

Prepare and cook all hot food items in concession stands and is responsible for kitchen clean up and dishes. Cooks are also responsible for boiling out fryers and cleaning grills.

ID Checkers

Checks ID’s of customers to insure they are 21 and wrist band everyone 35 & under.

Beer Server

Server beer and wine must be over 21 and be certified in the Alcohol Server Training Class available online.

Red Pepper Worker

Responsible for making grinders, tacos, and tostadas from this Grand Forks staple. Must be able to work all hockey games.

Stand Manager

Manages and overseas a concession stand and assures that the stand serves quality food items, follows sanitation requirements, and gives the customer top quality service.

Event Custodians

For custodians working the events we would require the following: clean bathrooms, pull garbage, dust the concourse and clean up spills on the concourse, in the stands, or stairs.  You would work until 2am so you can clean bathrooms, suites, concourses, stairs, and front lobby after the event. (7-8 hour shift on weekends)

Conversion Crew

Seeking hard working dedicated people to help convert the arenas from their normal hockey or basketball set up to a special event then back to normal set up again. Hours are typically late night and early morning but this will vary depending on the building schedule. This position requires a lot of bending, twisting and lifting. It can be very strenuous at times. Very limited in hours so you may work in another department at the same time.

Ice Crew

Clean the ice during breaks during the hockey games.

Night Auditors

Auditing cash, Friday/Saturday evenings from 6:30pm – 1am. Banking experience preferred.

Parking

Direct guests where to park upon arrival at the arena.

Sioux Shop

Seeking professional part-time retail positions within in a fast-paced, service-oriented retail environment. Candidates should be reliable, flexible, passionate, & dedicated to providing exceptional levels of service. Hours will be some day hours and Friday and Saturday evenings.

Ticket Seller

Seeking flexible event staff to help sell tickets, work will call windows, & assist in customer service and general office duties. Most hours revolve around scheduled events at the REA, but we are also looking for those with some daytime availability.

Guest Services

As part of the Guest Service Team, ushers help guests locate their seats, provide directions and other venue event information, and verify credential access to stairwells and elevators.  Ticket takers greet patrons upon entrance to the venue, scan event ticket barcodes to verify ticket validity, and validate university student identification cards. 

Security 

Do security during events.
