Maintenance Technician (Plumbing)

Work Schedule: Full Time

Salary Range: Dependent on Qualifications

Description

Ralph Engelstad Arena is seeking a Maintenance Technician with plumbing experience in Grand Forks, North Dakota. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for repair and maintenance of the facilities along with overseeing the plumbing system.

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance
  • Plan, install, repair and maintain plumbing systems
  • Repair and maintain drains, waste, vent, storm sewers, heating & cooling systems
  • Repair and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures
  • Set up and prepare for events
  • Supervise the part-time maintenance staff when needed

This is a full-time benefited position and hourly pay is dependent upon qualifications.

Qualifications

The Ideal candidate will possess the following qualification/skills:

  • Must have a positive attitude and must be a great teammate
  • Skills in using hand and power tools used in the plumbing trade
  • Knowledge of building codes, safety regulations and practices
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings
  • Familiar with cast iron, PVC, copper and PEX
  • Must have excellent oral and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to do troubleshooting and problem-solving and pay attention to detail
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and to work independently
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays as requested
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and at least two years of experience directly related to the above qualifications/skills
